Women - Art - Life

THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT CURRENTLY BEING TAUGHT. FOR MORE DETAILS PLEASE CLICK ON WORKSHOPS IN THE LINK LIST ABOVE. - Myrna

This class is exactly what I need at this moment as
I transition to the newest part of my life. - Peggy Lovejoy, USA

The struggles women face are common to us all whether we are working or retired, married, single, divorced or widowed, have children living at home, or are childless. We are so good at putting everyone else first and ourselves last. Too often our dreams - especially our art - suffer as commitments to others overwhelm us. We are left feeling disconnected, frustrated, torn, alone, and tired. In Women-Art-Life, you will learn how to shape your intentions, clarify your choices, and create meaningful art while balancing life's demands. With a few simple changes, you can put in place structures that will energize your life and discover the tools for creating personal, individualized work.

Women Art Life is a one-to-one, online workshop for women artists working in any medium. If you are creative and yet don't consider yourself an artist, this is still the perfect workshop for you since it focuses on helping you to become all that you can be. This is a gift that you give yourself. The lessons are taught as a private coaching session via email.

Taking Myrna's Women, Art and Life course has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.  Even though I am mostly a prismacolor artist, I found Myrna's lessons easy to follow, inspiring and thought provoking.  Any woman who has a need or desire to create (in any medium) would find this to be an eye opening, life changing experience. I highly, enthusiastically recommend it. - Caren Gallimore, Virginia, USA

This workshop includes both written and creative assignments on topics such as gratitude, choice, intentions, change, dreams, opportunity, and working with style. The assignments are small pieces that can be created in the medium of your choice. You may chose to focus on the written assignments, the creative assignments, or both, share as little or as much of your work as you would like.  It's up to you.

Dreams - Choices - Grateful

Attracting - Gathering - Lifeline

I'm one of the first very lucky students taking Myrna's new workshop. It is a life changing experience. Myrna's lessons, reading suggestions, written and textile assignments, and tactful comments to our posts touch every aspect of our lives, for the best! My Positive Book is slowly and nicely coming together and I know this is a piece I'm going to treasure for years. Sometimes you feel that some things are coming to your life at just the right time. Obviously, it was the right time for me to attend such a workshop. I'm very grateful to Myrna for creating it!

My teaching approach is to support and encourage you in developing YOUR style. I'll hold your hand and help you get where you are going through guided assignments and positive feedback but I will not tell you what to do and how to do it nor will I criticize your work. Each lesson contains assignments that will help you to shape your life and create your art your way. I believe in support, encouragement, positive reinforcement, setting goals, and practice, practice, practice. This is our life. Let's make it happen for us rather than to us. This is our art> It's only fabric (or whatever medium you work in) so relax, experiment, learn, stretch, grow and enjoy it fully. The less we stress, the more fun we have, and the more we can learn. YES YES!

Just wanted to say thank you Myrna. You are absolutely superb - amazing how you coach, support, and encourage as well as teach. - Diana Reid, New Brunswick, Canada

Session fee $250.00 Canadian (please read my coaching policy below)

Each student receives private, 1-1 coaching for as little as $20.00 per week in each session. PayPal will convert the Canadian price to the currency of your choice and show you total amount BEFORE you click to pay. Please note that the workshop price is per session and that I offer three sessions per year - Fall, Winter, and Spring. A half price fee will be offered for enrollments at or past the midpoint of a session.

In each session, it is the student's responsibility to pace themselves and to complete the lessons within that session or to choose to continue in the next session. An class outline will be received with the first lesson. Consecutive lessons will be sent only after the previous one is completed. If the student chooses to extend the lessons into the next session and completes them before the mid point, one half of the price of that session will be refunded. The session price must be paid in full at the beginning of each session before lessons begin or continue.

If there are extenuating circumstances preventing a student from completing the lessons in the current session (such as an accident or crisis) this situation will definitely be taken into consideration and adjustments made.
